DESCRIPTION:

A hugely popular course showing you how to take evocative, attractive timeless images of both men and women. This course appeals to anyone with an eclectic mix of individuals from of all ages and walks of life who love the buzz, excitement and glamour of creating beautiful images. In fact we have a large contingent of overseas visitors doing this course as a unique and interesting way to enjoy Melbourne and Sydney with the great shots too prove it!  The course is fantastic for those who love clothes, accessories and interesting locations and of course an excuse for a great weekend!
Shooting glamorous models is considered too exotic, specialized and difficult for the average photographer.  This course dispels the myths that you need a specialized studio and an on location crew assisting you. Your instructors often work on their own and will show you how to take sensational images with the minimum of equipment, how to use clean lighting, how to establish a repertoire with your subjects and how to shoot everyday people and bring our their beauty.

• Body dynamics, poses

• Your camera functions

• White balance & bracketing, use of ISO

• Exposure compensation, exposure bracketing

• Channels & parameters , colour temperature

• Creative use of depth of field

• Advanced composition and painting with light

• Studio portraiture and modelling

• Outdoor glamour and fashion shots

• Props, accessories, evocative locations

• Unusual viewpoints & tilting / lens and linear perspective

• Blurring/freezing of motion / conveying movement

• Operation of external flash unit, rear/2nd curtain synch flash

• Night portraits / use of fast prime lenses

• Any quality film , digital SLR or quality digital compact camera

• Memory Card(s) We recommend at least a 2 GB card for the 10 hour Saturday

• Any camera accessories - such as a tripod, polarizing filter

• Charged camera battery and a spare is essential
