HOW TO GET HERE: Mt Kuring-gai house is located 3km north of Hornsby which is the largest regional centre in the district. It is situated amongst Sydney Red Gums in a quiet residential area close to Mt Kuring-gai National Park. We are 5 min from the railway for a 40 min. journey into Sydney (23km).

By road from the south: Arriving from Sydney airport - take the new Eastern distributor expressway over the Sydney harbour bridge and up the major arterial road of the Pacific Highway. Just before Hornsby, take the F3 freeway northand then the first exit which reads Mount Kuring-gai National Park and Mt Colah. Take the left fork. This road brings you onto the Old Pacific Highway. Turn right (or northwards). Proceed for 2km passing Mt Colah train station on the right and a Caltex petrol (or gas station) on the left.

By road from the north: If you are on the F3 freeway, exit at the Berowra turnoff and proceed south on the Old Pacific Highway, past Mt Kuring-gai train station and a small shopping mall. You are now within 2 km of the house.

By train: You have the choice of either taking the Northern line from Sydney CBD (or elsewhere on the Sydney network) or the Strathfield line to Hornsby. From here, take a taxi (the cost is approx. $10) If you wish to walk, stay on the train past Hornsby, disembarking at Mt. Colah station. It's a 15 min. walk to the house.
