DESCRIPTION: |
Well known by the
original
inhabitants, the
Guringai aborigines
- the Hawkesbury,
Ku-ring-gai and
Berowra wilderness
areas offer
countless
opportunities to
improve your nature
photography skills.
On this delightful
walk, we pass
underneath towering
sandstone
escarpments, see
scarlet rosellas
sweep across the
clear sky, bath in
clear waters on
secluded creek sand
spits (if its hot
enough) and silently
came across wildlife
as we twist and turn
beside tidal creeks.
This workshop has a
focus on NATURE,
BLACK AND WHITE,
MACRO, CAMERA
HANDLING. That means
carefully composed
shots of trees,
close-ups of
wildflowers, texture
shots of the
scribbly barks. We
will be endeavouring
to give you a
feeling for classic
design, an
understanding of
lighting and how to
use your camera,
what film is best
for shooting nature
and more...
Our route is the
Gibberagong track to
Bobbin head
(formerly the
Grosvenor track -
6.5km one way, 3 hrs
easy walk downhill).
The track starts as
a fire trail at the
end of Grosvenor Rd,
Wahroonga. The fire
trail follows a
ridge and zigzags
down to the scenic
Gibberagong
waterholes then
follows the
beautiful Spring
Gully creek. We
finish off at the
Halvorsen Marina -
perfect for nautical
style shots with
moored boats and
rustic boardwalks. |
