DESCRIPTION:

Bondi Beach is the most famous beach in the world and offers unparalleled photographic opportunities and subjects. This workshop has a particular focus on LANDSCAPES, COLOUR, ACTION, MODELLING, DYNAMICS. Bondi is a cosmopolitan beach where the rich and famous are seen walking their poodles and eternal youth bare flesh. It's the golden sands, the curving surf line following the eye to the headlands, the changing kaleidoscope of land, sea and sky.

We show you how to shoot reportage style, interactive shots, how to 'break the ice' with strangers, changing your viewpoint, how to use a polarizing filter, creative use of leading lines, action (surfers, skateboarders, swimmers), the art of tilting the camera, how to shoot landscapes, seascapes, how to deal with contrasting exposure and much more.
Our route follows the coastal walk to Tamarama with its wave-sculptured cliffs enclosing this pretty cove. We shoot crashing surf, kids and dogs splashing around, the clean lines of the Tamarama surf club, hedonistic models sunbaking and often take a dip in the rocks pools. We finish off with refreshments at the Tamarama beach cafe.
