DESCRIPTION:

Get the best results from your digital camera. This popular weekend workshop takes in the best locations and encapsulates the vibrancy and sophistication of Melbourne with an emphasis on fashion, wine and food photography. Highlights include St Kilda’s Pier, the back alleys around Collin St, lifestyle photography on the Yarra River, twilight shots over Federation Square, wine tasting in the Yarra valley, Yering Estate, the Old Dairy and much more.

Melbourne boasts great events, a passion for food and wine and a fabulous arts scene. Known as a style-setter, Melbourne is home to a non-stop program of festivals, renowned dining, major art exhibitions and musical extravaganzas. Melbourne is notable for its mix of Victorian and contemporary architecture, its extensive tram network and Victorian parks and gardens, and its diverse, multicultural society.

Melbourne is often referred to as Australia's garden city, and the state of Victoria was once known as "the garden state". There is an abundance of parks and gardens in Melbourne, many close to the CBD with a variety of common and rare plant species amid landscaped vistas, pedestrian pathways and tree-lined avenues.  Our Thursday program takes in the best of Melbourne with a strong emphasis on capturing the vibrant street scenes, its fashions, the flavour, variety, great food and quirky wine bars that makes Melbourne one of the world’s most liveable cities.

On Friday we head east for the rolling hills, beautiful wineries and great food of the famous Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is now the home to over 40 wineries and a multitude of shops and cafes. Sample the wines of some of the famous and also lesser known boutique wineries along with samples of local cheeses and homemade pasta. We finish our weekend with a scenic drive back to Melbourne through the Dandenong's.
